The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render services for the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering companies which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency stated it's alarmed with regard to the superior number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a high range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office dedicated to service the area on a daily basis. The company position designed for intervention encounters a higher inflow of likely beneficiaries, which makes it complicated to the office to attend to all people who stop sassa status check by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more resources to empower the servicing of all clients and maximize entry to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
